Homeless Man Dies of Cold Just Inches From Shelter After Squatting Ban

In a tragic story which fell largely by the wayside, a homeless man died of hypothermia earlier this year after sleeping in the doorway of an abandoned building in Aylesbury, Kent.
Daniel Gauntlett was just 35 years old when he was found dead outside the empty bungalow at the end of February. Reports claim he had previously attempted to sleep inside the boarded up property but had been prevented after police were called.

Government Declares War on Disabled People and the Poor

On the weekend before the most savage cuts to social security in generations are introduced, the Tory party have gone on a media offensive to attack sick and disabled people or those who are unemployed, low waged and poor.
Minister for Murdering Disabled People Esther Mcvey began the assault with a vile piece of propaganda in the Daily Mail on Saturday.

26 MarApril 1st is the very apt date on which the Tory bastards intend to introduce their Bedroom Tax… the coalition government may have proved themselves to be be fools, but this sick tax is no fucking joke!
Here’s a small selection of black and white posters for people to print off put-up where they live. If you think this doesn’t concern you, you’re very, very wrong. The knock-on effect is going to put pressure on low-income families everywhere as rents and house prices are driven up… which is, of course, the main motivation behind most of the Tory policies on housing – but let’s not forget that the Bedrooom Tax was originally introduced to the private rented sector by the last Labour government in 2008, and that despite their faux postering Labour have already admitted that they’d keep the bedroom tax!
