If I have a graphic idea that I want improving on and putting on the net but can’t do so myself how do I contact you to ask you to give your opinion/deal with it (uploading?!)? Or, are you just encourageing us to use available software to have a go ourselves and you act as support/ a catalyst?
Hi Cigfran, we’d be happy to work on your idea and you can email us at anarchistmediaproject [at] gmail [dot] com
That said, we’re also keen to promote Free Open Source Software applications. We’re working on an idea for a workshop which uses the following FOSS apps to help people create their own media…
http://inkscape.org/
http://www.gimp.org/
http://kompozer.net/
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
http://www.scribus.net/
These have been chosen because they’re available for Linux, Mac and Windows so can be used without restriction (although we’d always recommend Linux!). We’re currently looking into video editors, we like LiVES – http://lives.sourceforge.net/ – but so far it can only be run on Windows and Macs via a live Linux CD… so if anyone knows of a good multi-platfrom video app we’d love to hear about it 🙂
